Shopping FAQs
Welcome to Freshwater foods. Freshwater Foods’ mission is to develop and market-exciting lines of food products containing as many Michigan ingredients as possible for people that love cooking and need products which will enhance their culinary experiences. Freshwater Foods is earning the reputation of creating high quality specialty foods that are known for their exceptional taste. Our continuing mission is to bring you new and exciting flavors that will be a pantry essential.
Accepted methods of payment
Internet and FAX’d orders have to be prepaid by credit card. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Personal Check and money orders will be accepted with mail in orders. Mail in orders paid by personal check will not be shipped until the check has cleared.
Free Shipping
Freshwater Foods has a minimum order amount of $20.00 or more to receive free shipping. Should Freshwater Foods receive an order of less then $20.00 the shipping costs of $11.00 will be automatically applied to orders prepaid with a credit card. Mail orders paid by check will be returned indicating the minimum order policy. However mail orders paid by credit card of less then $20.00 will have the shipping costs of $11.00 automatically applied. Free shipping applies to shipping and handling within the U.S.
Free shipping does not apply to overnight service or home delivery freight charges nor does it apply to corporate or international sales.
Shipping
The goal of Freshwater Foods is to process orders within two business days of receipt of the prepaid orders. Orders are shipped UPS Ground. If the order has to be expedited or shipped by other means, please call 1-906-643-0056 between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST to make different arrangements. Additional costs incurred for alterative shipping methods will have to be prepaid before the order is shipped. Please allow for an increased shipping time during the holiday seasons. To guarantee delivery, we must have proper and complete addresses. UPS does not deliver to post office boxes nor do they forward packages. If your package is returned to us we will refund the cost of the merchandise. If you chose to reship to a different address, you must pay for the cost to reship.
Placing Orders
Orders may be placed either on-line, FAX, phone or by mail. Orders placed on-line, FAX or by phone must be pre-paid with an accepted credit card as described in methods of payment. Personal Check and money orders will be accepted with mail in orders. Mail in orders paid by personal check will not be shipped until the check has cleared. On-line Orders
It is easy to shop on-line at Freshwater Foods. The Freshwater Foods web site provides customers the opportunity to become register customers. Registered customers merely have to log in with their username and pass word and begin shopping. Registered customers billing information is retained in the secure server except for the credit card data, which has to be reentered each time an order is placed.
Damaged Products
Credit or replacements will be issued for damaged goods reported within seven days of delivery. UPS reserves the right to inspect damaged goods for forty-eight hours. Please note any damages on shipping invoice when receiving deliveries. We encourage our customers not to sign or accept any damaged packages.
